I started Trademark 615 because there are wildly different prices to prepare trademark applications. I had many clients wonder the difference between a rock-bottom $395 fee and a higher $1995 fee.
The answer is simple. Most rock-bottom applications are prepared by office staff on an assembly line. You may never speak with a lawyer. Obvious problems may be overlooked. Your rock-bottom fee—and filing fees—may be lost and you are back to square one.
The higher fee probably means a trademark attorney reviewed your application more thoroughly. Obvious problems are identified and resolved before you incur additional fees. However, $1995 (much more if you hire a big law firm) may be pricey for a startup business.
Our $995 rate (plus filing fees) is fair. I prepare and submit every trademark application and identify potential problems before filing your application. Although I can never guarantee a mark will register, identifying problems early reduces your chance that the USPTO will reject your application.
